Blatant rip off - Smother Me
Scribbled on Monday, January 7th, 2008Pathetic. Isn’t it ? You watch a movie and then it’s remake thats been blatantly copied from the original one without any credits to the original mind.
Here are some movies that were ripped off directly on to Bollywood makes:
Kaante is a rip off of Reservoir Dogs
Oldboy
Zinda
Aawarapan is a rip off of A Bittersweet Life
Even Hollywood is not behind (but they usually bought over the rights and give credit to original)
Some of the remakes are
My Sassy Girl original
The Lake House remake of Il Mare
The Ring 1 and 2, The Grudge, Insomnia, Solaris etc.
I would any day like to watch the original version over the remake.

Hamraaz is inspired from What Lies Beneath

Kaante is a copy of “Reservoir Dogs” and not “The Usual Suspects”. “Chocolate” is a copy of “The Usual Suspects”.. Please get your facts right before you shout about them in public space.
