[Solved] S.T.A.L.K.E.R Clear Sky E3 Demo Crashes after changing graphics settings
Scribbled on Wednesday, May 21st, 2008The game looks promising with its new swamp level, better AI, reworked model of mutants, NCP and better graphics. Though I must say that the leaked E3 demo is meant to played at highest setting, but I’ve got a weak system so it didn’t play pretty well with “full dynamic lights” option selected in graphics setting.
Problem:
When the graphics settings are changed ingame and the game is restarted the game crashed with a bug sumbit screen, no matter how many times you try.
Solution:
The solution exists in deleting the _appdata_ folder that is created aside the main folder (S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky).So delete the folder _appdata_ and play the game at default setting or if you want to change the graphics setting really then read the para given below
Acutally the folder _appdata_ contains user.ltx file that has the settings u saved in graphics. But the demo isn’t meant to be saving the setting automatically. So its better to edit user.ltx manually inside the main folder (S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky). I will post a breif tutorial about the manual editing later. Till then enjoy the demo.

How i install it? I just unziped and i have some directories… I have also one file called “STALKER_Data_Unpacker_EN.exe” … Could some one help me how to run the game?

just run setup.bat file to install it
